If only clean streets were a pill away [Updated]
By mole
While visiting MoMA on my last trip to New York City, I chanced upon an artwork that intrigued my thoughts on creating a series of posters focusing on environmental issues.
Since I returned from my trip, I’ve been pondering through my thoughts on how I could put that art work to use. And that was how the “If only” series was born. Let’s hope it doesn’t end here, and here is a draft of my work:
I appreciate all fair comments to help me improve on this poster!
[03/27/12 - Just updated it again! Thank you all for the feedback!]

Olivia Choong Phua Wee Ping Jingkai Lim Wei Jiahe feedback pls!
Easy said than done. Just like making the tabs, cleaning / making the tabs requires manpower and effort to produce the outcome, which is either the clean street or producing the tab.
pretty cool concept! but perhaps the part about clean streets could stand more? like place visual emphasis on the words “clean streets” in some way(: cos the anti-littering concept didn’t come across at first glance. or maybe that’s what you intended?><
Wa lao JK.. U lack imagination leh..
Wei Jiahe actually the idea is to base the series on solving problems by taking instant relieves.. And i want it very clean and palatable.. Not sure if that has been achieved.. haven’t thought about what to do for the other scenarios though.. Thanks for the suggestion anw!
ttyl on this tmr
how’s this now? Gerald Ng Phua Wee Ping Wei Jiahe !!
the message is clear but the picture seems to lack the oomph factor. should ask some artists
Ya I know.. all I can do now is to use my amateur skills with tips from the expert
more 3d…. more impact!!!
You should tie taxpayer money to cleaning streets. That’s what Singaporeans care about.
Like bulldozers made out of bills. Something along that line. LOL I don’t quite care about pills and stuff.
Ryan Cheong that’s missing the point!
But most Singaporeans won’t care about the environment unless it hits them in the pocket. WHERE IT HURTS. Otherwise…they won’t give a hoot!
the message in this is clearer than the last one(: the “clean and palatable” effect you talked about is there lah:D but could perhaps look at how to make it more attention grabbing?
